THIS SCENARIO IS MEANT TO BE PLAYED AS THE DEFENDERS. YOU CAN CHOOSE TO PLAY AS THE 
EVIL ROBOTS BUT THAT MIGHT NOT BE MUCH OF A CHALLENGE. ALL OTHER CIVS CANNOT BE PLAYED.

GATES:
%
ON THE MAP THERE ARE THREE SPECIFIC GAMEPLAY MECHANISMS: TWO "GATES" AND ONE "GATE EXIT".
THERE IS ONE GATE FOR THE DEFENDERS AND ONE FOR THE EVIL ROBOTS. EACH CIV HAS ONLY ONE
GATE THAT THEY CAN OPERATE. THE DEFENDER GATE IS LOCATED AS THE EDGE OF THEIR BASE
WHILE THE EVIL ROBOT GATE IS LOCATED AT THE END OF THEIR SHIP. EACH GATE WORKS WHEN IT
IS ATTACKED BY A UNIT OF ITS ASSIGNED PLAYER. THE DEFENDER GATE CAN BE ATTACKED ONLY
BY INFANTRY AND OTHER LAND UNITS. AIRPLANES CANNOT USE THE DEFENDER GATE AS THE GATE IS 
REPRESENTED AS A TUNNEL OPENING. WHEN A UNIT ATTACKS A GATE AND IS DESTROYED THE 
LOSING UNIT WILL REAPPEAR AT THE GATE EXIT, LOCATED PAST THE CITY LIMITS. TRY IT WITH
THE TANK THAT IS ALREADY NEXT TO THE GATE WHEN YOU START.

GATE EXIT:
%
THE GATE EXIT, LOCATED PAST THE CITY LIMITS, REPRESENTS A TUNNEL EXIT FROM THE 
DEFENDER BASE. THE GATE EXIT MUST NOT BE DESTROYED. IF DESTROYED THE DEFENDERS WILL
NO LONGER BE ABLE TO USE THE GATE MECHANISM AND WILL HAVE TO TRAVERSE OVER THE CITY
TO REACH THE OTHER SIDE OF THE MAP.

BUILDINGS:
%
OBVIOUSLY, AS MERCENARIES IN CHARGE OF KEEPING THE CITY SAFE, YOU WILL BE REQUIRED
TO KEEP THE VARIOUS STRUCTURES IN THE CITY SAFE. EACH TIME A BUILDING IS DESTROYED THE 
CITY FOUNDERS WILL DEDUCT $50 FROM YOUR TREASURY AS PART OF THE COST OF CLEANING UP
YOUR FAILURE.

OIL DERRICKS AND OIL BARRELS:
%
OIL IS BASICALLY UP FOR GRABS. THE CITY FOUNDERS REALIZE THAT YOU NEED OIL TO MAKE YOUR 
LITTLE WAR MACHINE RUN SO THEY WILL ALLOW YOU TO "TAKE" OIL RELATED UNITS FOR YOUR OWN 
MEANS OR TO JUST DENY THE OIL TO THE ENEMY. OIL CAN BE CONVERTED INTO CASH BY ATTACKING 
THE OIL RELATED UNITS. OIL DERRICKS, THREE OF WHICH ARE ON THE MAP, CAN BE ATTACKED FOR
CASH. THOUGH, ONCE ATTACKED, THE OIL DERRICKS WILL BE CAPPED AND PUT UNDER YOUR CARE. 
IF THESE CAPPED WELLS ARE ATTACKED BY THE EVIL ROBOTS THEY WILL CONTROL THE CAP, CAUSING
YOU TO LOSE MONEY. HOWEVER, THE CAPS CAN BE TAKEN BACK, AND WITH THEM, MORE MONEY.

COASTAL CITIES:
%
WHEN YOU ARE READY TO TAKE THE FIGHT TO THE ROBOTS YOU WILL HAVE TO BUILD COASTAL CITIES
THAT WILL IN TURN PRODUCE YOUR TRANSPORT SHIPS AND YOUR GUN BOATS. DUE TO THE UNIQUE 
DEPICTION OF THE COAST IN THE GAME YOU CAN ONLY HOPE TO BUILD A COASTAL CITY ON 
"SHORELINE" TERRAIN.
